Job Overview
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-owned agricultural company in the Yuba City area for an experienced Operations Manager. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone with a strong background in food processing, agricultural packing, or a similar production environment.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, leading production teams, and ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently, and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct day-to-day operations for prune and walnut processing and packing
- Lead production teams, supervisors, and department managers
- Coordinate production schedules and monitor inventory levels
- Oversee food safety, quality assurance, sanitation, and pest control programs
- Track production performance, labor utilization, efficiency, and operating costs
- Partner closely with company ownership regarding operational priorities, challenges, and opportunities
- Identify operational issues and take initiative to implement effective solutions
- Promote a productive, organized, and accountable work environment
Qualifications
- Previous management experience within a packing, food-processing, agricultural, or manufacturing operation
- Experience with dried fruit and/or nut processing is highly preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
- Practical, hands-on management style with the ability to work directly with production teams
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Reliable and comfortable taking ownership of overall operations
- Must be local to the Yuba City area or willing to relocate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and dependable operations leader who is comfortable being hands-on, managing people, solving problems, and taking ownership of the overall success of the facility.
Pay: $100,000–$150,000 per year
