The Provider Relations Specialist plays a key role in maintaining and developing strong working relationships between healthcare providers and our organization. This position ensures provider satisfaction, supports network development, facilitates communication, and assists with credentialing, regulatory compliance, and contract-related activities.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Performs site visits to providers to strengthen relationships, evaluation, orientation, documentation collection, identify areas for improvement, and ensure contractual compliance.

Acts as primary liaison to resolve provider issues, improve collaboration, and support provider network growth.

Managing provider credentialing and re-credentialing to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Oversee provider ensuring accuracy, data setup, maintenance, timeliness, billing processes and will facilitate resolution of credentialing and billing issues.

Supports contract management activities and promotes collaboration and engagement within the provider network to support organizational goals related to quality, efficiency, and growth.

Submission of referral forms to the health plan within the established deadline, ensuring that the information is accurate and complete.

Assist in the implementation of initiatives, operational changes, or new products related to the provider network.

Participate in internal audits, as requested.

Coordinate and facilitate meetings, seminars, or training sessions for providers. Engages in mandatory training, workshops, seminars, educational activities for providers, and committee meetings such as Credentialing or Appeals, when required.

Conduct outbound calls for information gathering and maintain communication with other departments. Collaborate with internal departments (such as claims, compliance, and finance) to resolve issues related to billing and service.

Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Health Services Management, or a related field.

Three or more years of experience in the health field, preferred in provider relations or managing a medical network.

Full availability and willingness to travel across the island, with primary focus on the western region.\

Proficiency with electronic platforms, technological applications and data management.

Knowledge of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and CMS guidelines affecting provider relations and healthcare billing and coding principles.

Understanding of provider credentialing requirements and compliance standards, including familiarity with accreditation bodies and regulatory authorities.

Preferred fully bilingual

Detail-oriented approach with outstanding organizational and administrative skills to manage multiple provider accounts and related administrative tasks efficiently.

Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to address billing discrepancies and credentialing challenges promptly.
