THE OPPORTUNITY
FRIZBEA is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & Growth to help transform an ambitious vision into major commercial relationships, strategic pilot programs, investor-ready opportunities, and measurable company growth.
This is an initial part-time contract leadership position requiring approximately 15–25 hours per week. The opportunity may expand into a full-time executive position based on performance, funding, company growth, and mutual fit.
This person will work directly with FRIZBEA leadership to represent the company in meetings with major pet-industry brands, retailers, food companies, veterinary organizations, shelters, technology companies, media organizations, service providers, and other strategic partners.
Potential target relationships include companies comparable to Chewy, The Farmer’s Dog, Petco, PetSmart, Mars Petcare, Purina, Hill’s, Zoetis, Rover, Wag, pet-insurance providers, veterinary networks, retailers, media companies, shelters, and animal-welfare organizations.
This is not a traditional sales position. It is a strategic leadership opportunity for someone capable of helping build a company, strengthening its commercial strategy, opening meaningful doors, and representing FRIZBEA confidently in executive-level meetings.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute FRIZBEA’s strategic partnership strategy
- Identify and approach qualified corporate partners and decision-makers
- Build relationships across the pet, retail, veterinary, technology, media, consumer, and animal-welfare industries
- Create customized partnership proposals and pilot programs
- Represent FRIZBEA in executive presentations and negotiations
- Help develop pitch decks, partnership materials, financial narratives, and investor-ready presentations
- Build and manage a disciplined partnership pipeline and CRM
- Coordinate meetings, follow-ups, proposals, responsibilities, and next steps
- Evaluate potential revenue models, sponsorships, integrations, marketplace relationships, and strategic alliances
- Help recruit advisors, specialists, vendors, executives, and other team members
- Turn ambitious ideas into credible, achievable commercial plans
- Communicate accurately and avoid overpromising unconfirmed features, relationships, or results
- Establish and report measurable 30-, 60-, and 90-day objectives
QUALIFICATIONS
- Approximately 8–15+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, corporate development, enterprise sales, marketplace growth, brand partnerships, or a related leadership function
- Documented experience negotiating significant partnerships, sponsorships, distribution relationships, integrations, or enterprise agreements
- Relevant experience in the pet industry, consumer technology, social media, e-commerce, marketplaces, subscription products, retail, consumer packaged goods, veterinary services, pet insurance, or animal welfare
- Existing relationships with relevant corporate decision-makers are strongly preferred
- Experience working with startups, emerging brands, or new product launches
- Ability to create executive-level presentations and customized partnership proposals
- Understanding of revenue models, margins, customer acquisition, lifetime value, valuation, equity, and early-stage business development
- Excellent public-speaking, negotiation, writing, and follow-up skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with executives, investors, attorneys, veterinarians, engineers, creators, retailers, and nonprofit leaders
- Strong CRM, pipeline-management, forecasting, and organizational discipline
- Willingness to work in an early-stage environment where priorities will evolve
- A genuine love of dogs and commitment to improving their safety, health, happiness, and quality of life
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT
- Previous employment or established relationships inside major pet companies
- Experience selling into Chewy, Petco, PetSmart, Amazon, Walmart, Target, veterinary networks, or national consumer brands
- A history of building partnership programs from the ground up
- Experience helping prepare an early-stage company for institutional investment
- Measurable examples of revenue, distribution, sponsorship, user growth, or enterprise value you helped create
- Relationships across pet food, veterinary care, pet insurance, retail, media, shelters, rescues, technology, or animal health
- Experience launching a marketplace, social platform, loyalty program, mobile application, or subscription company
- Ability to act as both an enthusiastic company advocate and an honest strategic advisor
FIRST 90-DAY OBJECTIVES
- Evaluate FRIZBEA’s partnership strategy and commercial positioning
- Organize target companies into priority partnership categories
- Build a qualified list of at least 50 organizations and named decision-makers
- Secure at least 15 meaningful executive conversations
- Develop three or more realistic partnership or pilot proposals
- Establish a professional CRM and follow-up system
- Improve FRIZBEA’s enterprise and investor presentation materials
- Create a one-year corporate-partnership roadmap
- Identify the strongest early revenue and market-entry opportunities

We want a confident and highly prepared business leader who can enter a meeting with major executives, understand their priorities, communicate FRIZBEA’s value, handle difficult questions, and leave with a clearly defined next step.
The right person will combine executive presence with preparation, commercial judgment, strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, integrity, and relentless follow-through.
A genuine love of dogs is essential—but love for dogs alone is not enough. This position requires documented business results, professional relationships, executive-level communication, and the ability to help build a company responsibly.
COMPENSATION
- $60–$90 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
- Approximately 15–25 hours per week
- Flexible, remote working arrangement
- Potential performance incentives and equity participation may be considered, subject to company approval and formal written agreements
- Opportunity to grow into a full-time executive leadership role
