We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager/Function Coordinator. Previous experience in restaurant supervision, bar management, banquet or event selling or as a lead server would be considered as we will train the right candidate. You will motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service. Assistant Restaurant manager responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, profitability and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain quality customer-service standards. In order to be successful, we want you to know how to oversee the dining room, check-in with customers and balance seating capacity. Back of the house management experience is a plus. We expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences. Compensation $50-$55K depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations when the General Manager is absent
- Booking and coordinating private functions, upselling functions when possible
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
- Organize and supervise shifts
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
Skills
- Proven work experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, Supervising Manager, Hospitality Manager, Banquet Coordinator or similar role
- Proven customer service experience as a manager
- Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
- Familiarity with restaurant management POS software
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
