Job Summary
Experienced industrial painter needed to support Navy projects. Experience working with various types of epoxies, urethanes, and plural component applications. Ability to use abrasives to sandblast with mineral grit, steel grit, and stainless. The ability to work from heights or in confined spaces is a plus. Any SSPC certifications are a plus as well: C7, C12, C14, or CAS certifications. The use of power tools, spray painting, brush, and roller techniques are also a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· SAFETY
· Is 100% committed to making sure all employees go home safely.
· Follows the AMP United Safety Polices
· Maintains continuous emphasis on safety and the AMP United safety culture.
· PROJECT PRODUCTION
· Present themselves in a professional manner.
· Performs various sandblasting and paint applications within the advised specification that will include blast cleanliness and dry film thickness of all coatings.
· Mixing material within the parameters shown on the manufacturer’s product data page and customer specifications.
· All other duties as assigned by management
QUALITY ASSURANCE
· Trains painter helpers the right way to ensure all applications are performed to the highest feasible level of quality.
· Inspect their work to ensure the application provided meets the specification before inspection.
· Performs daily environmental monitoring, wft, and dft. of the coating application if needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum 3 years’ experience working in industrial coatings.
· Excellent verbal communication skills
· Presents a professional image and helps the supervisor lead by example.
· Team leader – Able to lead and motivate a team of painters. Willing to do what it takes to make the team successful; works well with others and promotes a quality product to ensure projects are performed promptly and within the allotted estimate.
· NCCER, NACE, and SSPC certs are a plus but not required.

- Brush & Roll: 1 year (Required)
