Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance across residential and commercial facilities, including plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and HVAC units.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and your hands-on skills.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to support facility infrastructure.
- Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and ohmmeters to diagnose electrical systems accurately.
- Maintain facility safety standards by inspecting equipment, updating maintenance logs in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Assist with residential painting projects to enhance property aesthetics.
- Supervise or coordinate with contractors or team members during larger repair or renovation projects, demonstrating leadership and customer service skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or building operations.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting with tools like ohmmeters and understanding of electrical systems.
- Skilled in welding techniques with the ability to perform metal repairs safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation systems.
- Experience with residential painting, carpentry, plumbing, and general handyman tasks.
- Supervising or leadership experience is a plus for coordinating projects or mentoring team members.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and customer interactions.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately; familiarity with CMMS software is preferred.
