Key Duties
As a Dialysis Registered Dietitian, you'll be an essential member of the interdisciplinary care team (ICT), helping patients manage chronic kidney disease through individualized nutrition care. Responsibilities include:
- Complete comprehensive nutrition assessments for dialysis patients.
- Develop and update individualized nutrition care plans.
- Review monthly laboratory results and provide nutrition recommendations.
- Counsel and educate patients and families on kidney nutrition, medications, fluid management, and
- Healthy lifestyle changes that will improve the patients quality of life.
- Collaborate with medical directors, nephrologists, nurses, social workers, and other members of the
- healthcare team.
- Participate in monthly interdisciplinary care planning and Quality Assurance Performance
- Improvement (QAPI) activities.
- Complete timely and accurate monthly documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Stay current with evidence-based renal nutrition guidelines and best practices.
- Coordinate and manage oral nutrition supplement (ONS) programs for all patients.
Minimum Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Current Texas Licensed Dietitian (LD), or eligible to obtain Texas licensure before employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience as a Registered Dietitian.
- Strong communication, organization, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Experience in dialysis, nephrology, or chronic disease management.
- Knowledge of KDOQI and KDIGO nutrition guidelines.
- Experience working in an outpatient clinical setting.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Work Environment
- Our outpatient dialysis clinics/SNFs provide a collaborative, patient-centered environment focused on
- overall patient well-being and delivering exceptional kidney care. Occasional travel between nearby clinic
- locations may be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
