Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shop Technician to support production operations with a primary focus on sandblasting, product assembly, and general shop support. This role plays a key part in preparing components, assembling finished products, and maintaining an efficient workflow throughout the shop.
While some painting may be required, the majority of this position centers around surface preparation, material handling, and hands-on assembly work.
Key ResponsibilitiesSandblasting & Surface Preparation
- Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare parts for finishing
- Inspect surfaces to ensure proper preparation and quality standards
- Maintain blasting equipment and ensure proper media usage
- Follow safety procedures related to dust, ventilation, and protective gear
Product Assembly
- Assemble components and finished products according to specifications
- Use hand and power tools to complete assemblies accurately and efficiently
- Verify parts and materials before and after assembly
- Maintain quality control throughout the assembly process
Shop & Production Support
- Assist with staging, handling, and movement of materials throughout the shop
- Support team members across different production areas as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Help track inventory of materials and supplies related to production
Painting (Powder Coating)
- Assist with basic painting tasks as needed
- Prepare parts for coating when required
- Support painting team during high-volume periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sandblasting, manufacturing, or shop environments preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment
- Ability to follow instructions and work from basic drawings or specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed
Work Environment
- Industrial/shop setting with exposure to dust, noise, and equipment
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
- Physically active role involving standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
