Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and diligent Dishwasher to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently to ensure timely cleaning of all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen tools
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to maintain hygiene standards across the kitchen
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishware to the dishwashing station
- Maintain cleanliness of the dish area, including counters, sinks, and storage spaces, adhering to sanitation protocols
- Assist with manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of pots, pans, and bulk supplies safely and correctly
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining overall cleanliness and organization of the food prep and service areas
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices in a commercial kitchen setting
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and basic cleaning tools safely
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during shifts
- Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment
- Basic knife skills or familiarity with food handling procedures is a plus but not mandatory
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting the culinary team
