POSITION SUMMARY:
The Engagement Specialist is responsible for building relationships with senior members to increase participation, connection, and overall engagement in YMCA programs. This role focuses on outreach, member support, and creating a positive experience that encourages consistent program usage and community connection.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Build and maintain meaningful relationships with senior members through weekly outreach to support engagement and retention.
- Conduct consistent outreach to current and prospective members to promote programs and services.
- Welcome, orient, and connect new senior members to appropriate programs and resources.
- Encourage participation through follow-up and ongoing support.
- Accurately track member interactions, outreach efforts, participation activity, and report timely.
- Monitor attendance and identify opportunities to improve engagement.
- Collaborate with membership and program staff to support growth and retention strategies.
- Provide feedback to leadership on member needs and trends.
- Support a welcoming and inclusive environment aligned with YMCA values.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Highschool diploma or equivalent.

2 years’ experience in customer service.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, and data tracking systems required.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, particularly with senior adults.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

STARTING PAY: $18.50-$20.50 DOE
