Job Summary: Electronic Technician (Industrial Automation)
We are seeking a motivated Electronic Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the diagnostic testing, repair, and enhancement of industrial electronic products, with a heavy focus on PLCs, drives, and HMI panels.
This is a part-time position with significant potential to transition into full-time employment as you become familiar with our proprietary processes and specialized hardware. Candidates with at least one year of experience in electronics repair or industrial automation are preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnostic & Repair: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electronics (Drives, PLCs, Power Supplies) using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signature analyzers.
- HMI Restoration: Perform precision replacement of touchscreen panels, digitizers, and membrane films on HMI modules.
- Component-Level Work: Devise logical methods for repair and replace faulty surface-mount (SMT) or through-hole components using professional soldering and rework techniques.
- Quality Control: Conduct routine maintenance and rigorous functional testing to ensure all repaired units meet or exceed OEM specifications.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate internal repair notes and test records to comply with our quality management standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the technical team to ensure efficient throughput and consistent service quality.

Job Type: Part-time (Potential for Full-time) Location: Rochester/Greece, NY
Shift Options:
- Option 1: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Monday – Friday)
- Option 2: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Monday – Friday)
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in electronics repair, industrial automation, or a related technical field.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Precision: Proficiency in soldering/desoldering and handling sensitive electronic components.
- Reliability: Must be authorized to work in the United States and demonstrate a strong commitment to operational quality.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
