Summit Aquatics provides premium, private swim instruction and professional lifeguard services throughout San Diego County. We work with families at their homes, community pools and private events, delivering a personalized experience built around safety, professionalism and exceptional service.
We are looking for reliable, experienced swim instructors and lifeguards to serve families in Carmel Valley, La Jolla, San Marcos and Carlsbad.
Responsibilities
- Provide private swim lessons for children and adults
- Teach water safety, confidence, floating, swimming fundamentals and stroke development
- Adapt lessons to each swimmer’s age, ability and goals
- Supervise pools during private parties and events
- Maintain constant awareness and respond appropriately in emergencies
- Communicate professionally with clients and parents
- Arrive on time, prepared and dressed professionally
- Represent Summit Aquatics with a positive and dependable attitude
Qualifications
- Previous swim instruction, competitive swimming, coaching or lifeguarding experience
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
- Current lifeguard certification preferred
- Confident working independently with children and families
- Reliable transportation to clients’ homes and community pools
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Dependable, professional and safety-focused
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass a background check

Most assignments take place during weekday afternoons, evenings and weekends. This position is ideal for experienced lifeguards, swim instructors, college swimmers, former competitive swimmers and aquatic professionals looking for flexible part-time work.
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
