Pay: $27.00/hour
Top Metal Solutions is seeking an experienced Fabricator to join our fabrication team. This position is ideal for a skilled fabricator who can read blueprints, complete layouts, build assemblies, and work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
The Fabricator will support the production of structural assemblies, racks, containers, fixtures, and custom metal projects from layout through final assembly.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints.
- Perform layout, fitting, squaring, and assembly of metal components.
- Fabricate structural assemblies, racks, frames, and custom projects.
- Maintain accurate measurements and tight tolerances.
- Build and modify templates, fixtures, and production jigs.
- Perform GMAW and FCAW-G welding as needed.
- Identify and resolve fit-up or dimensional issues.
- Complete fabrication projects independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of metal fabrication experience required.
- Strong blueprint reading and layout skills.
- Experience fitting and fabricating complete assemblies.
- Understanding of measurements, tolerances, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to use fabrication tools, measuring equipment, and shop machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain quality standards.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Structural or custom metal fabrication experience.
- Experience building fixtures, templates, or production jigs.
- Welding certifications are a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly.
- Ability to bend, kneel, push, pull, and work around fabrication equipment.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a metal fabrication and manufacturing facility. Employees may be exposed to heat, sparks, dust, noise, and heavy equipment. Proper PPE is required.
