We are growing and we're looking for a driven, connected, and results-oriented Sponsorship & Partnership Development Consultant to help us expand our corporate partner portfolio and secure the funding that powers our mission.
Role Overview
Next YE Development is seeking an experienced Corporate Sponsorship & Partnership Development Consultant to lead outreach, relationship-building, and deal-closing efforts with corporate partners and sponsors. This is a contract role with an immediate start, requiring approximately 40 hours per month.
The ideal candidate brings an established network in the corporate sector, a strong track record of securing sponsorship or partnership deals, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the Next YE team. You will be provided with a curated list of target companies and contacts and are expected to expand upon it with your own prospecting.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Outreach & Prospecting
- Manage and develop a provided pipeline of target companies and decision-makers
- Independently identify, research, and add new prospective corporate partners beyond the provided list
- Conduct outreach via email, phone, LinkedIn, and in-person meetings to generate new sponsorship leads
- Represent Next YE Development professionally and compellingly across all touchpoints
Sponsorship Sales & Deal Closing
- Present Next YE Development's sponsorship and partnership opportunities to corporate prospects
- Negotiate and close sponsorship agreements aligned with defined package tiers
- Meet or exceed revenue goal within the 6–8 month engagement window
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach activities, pipeline status, and deal progress
Event Sponsorship — Brooklyn Builds the Future (March 2027)
- Lead corporate sponsorship sales for Brooklyn Builds the Future: Innovation and Career Fest (March 2027)
- Secure event sponsors across a range of investment levels, from presenting sponsors to community supporters
- Coordinate with the Next YE team on sponsor recognition, activation logistics, and deliverables (all marketing assets will be provided)
Corporate Learning Experience Partnerships
- Identify and secure corporate partners for student-facing learning experiences, including:
- Learning & Innovation Labs
- Business Case Study Challenges
- Career Development & Mentorship Opportunities
- Other future-ready programming initiatives
- Work collaboratively with the Next YE team, who will lead all programming strategy and activation design
Qualifications & Ideal Background
Required
- 3+ years of experience in corporate sponsorship sales, partnership development, or business development
- Demonstrated track record of closing five- and six-figure sponsorship or partnership deals
- Existing network of corporate decision-makers, CSR/DEI leads, or marketing executives is a strong plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver compelling pitches
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a pipeline independently
- Comfortable working in a lean, entrepreneurial, mission-driven environment
Preferred
- Experience securing sponsorships for events, educational organizations, or nonprofit/social impact initiatives
- Familiarity with NYC's corporate, civic, or workforce development landscape
- Experience working with MWBE-certified, women-owned, or minority-led organizations
Pay: From $40.00 per hour
