Our client, a party and event rental company, is looking for a Maintenance Technician Lead to join their team in Ventura, CA. In this role, you will lead daily maintenance operations, repair and service commercial appliances and event equipment, and ensure all inventory is event-ready while training and supporting team members in a fast-paced rental environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial appliances and event equipment including refrigerators, freezers, stoves, ovens, deep fryers, BBQ pits, heat lamps, and portable sinks
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and extend product lifespan
- Analyze mechanical and electrical issues and complete repairs in a timely manner; coordinate with management when advanced repairs are required
- Prepare, organize, and stage equipment and inventory for upcoming deliveries and events ensuring all items are clean, functional, and complete with all necessary parts
- Follow proper packing, handling, and loading procedures to prevent damage during transport
- Inspect returned event inventory for damages, missing parts, cleanliness, and operational issues
- Document damages and communicate repair or replacement needs to management promptly
- Ensure all returned items are cleaned, repaired, and returned to inventory efficiently
- Lead and prioritize daily maintenance and warehouse tasks
- Train team members on proper handling, maintenance, and preparation procedures
Requirements:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred; English proficiency required
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
- Experience with POS systems
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with ability to anticipate issues before they arise
- Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs, climb ladders, bend, and stand for extended periods
Pay & Schedule:
- Pay Rate: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: Monday - Friday plus weekends, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
