Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and safety standards.
- Operate electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft to accurately document patient information, treatment notes, and medical history.
- Perform chairside assisting using aseptic techniques and maintain a sterile environment to prevent cross-contamination.
- Collect vital signs and medical imaging as needed, supporting comprehensive patient assessments.
- Manage patient flow by acting as a dental receptionist when necessary, scheduling appointments, confirming patient details, and providing excellent customer service.
- Support four-handed dentistry practices by working efficiently alongside the dentist to enhance productivity during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
- Assist with the operation of advanced equipment such as 3D scanners and digital imaging devices to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Educate patients on dental terminology, procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health best practices.
Qualifications
- Valid license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent certification in accordance with state regulations.
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic is a plus.
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology.
- Experience with X-ray procedures, medical coding, medical records management, and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in various specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.71 per hour
