Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our industrial maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and systems across our facility. Your expertise will help keep production running smoothly, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, and perform repairs with precision. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures using schematics, electrical blueprints, and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics utilizing tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and low/high voltage testers to identify faults in electrical systems.
- Repair and maintain industrial machinery using welding (including welding), precision measuring instruments, and other specialized tools.
- Read and interpret schematics, electrical blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Support field service activities by providing technical assistance on-site or remotely to resolve complex equipment problems promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to high voltage, electrical maintenance, HVAC/R systems, and industrial mechanic practices.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades while adhering to engineering specifications.
- Collaborate with team members and customer service personnel to deliver exceptional support and ensure customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration), and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting, electrical diagnostics, wiring schematics reading, and electrical blueprint interpretation.
- Familiarity with field service operations involving scissor lifts, HVAC systems, low/high voltage electrical systems, and welding techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, schematics tools, and other diagnostic devices effectively.
- Experience working with industrial electrician standards including electrical maintenance for high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues quickly and accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
