Overview
Join our team at Dolce by Wyndham Miami Beach as a Maintenance Technician and play an important role in keeping our hotel safe, comfortable, and fully operational for our guests and team members. In this position, you will assist with daily maintenance needs, room repairs, preventive maintenance, and general building upkeep to ensure a smooth guest experience and high property standards.
This role requires someone who is hands-on, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to respond quickly to maintenance requests in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and hotel facilities.
- Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests, including issues with air conditioning, plumbing, lighting, appliances, doors, locks, TVs, and general repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues.
- Assist with repairs and upkeep of hotel equipment, fixtures, furniture, and appliances.
- Maintain the appearance and functionality of guest rooms, hallways, lobby areas, restrooms, and exterior spaces.
- Complete daily work orders and communicate repair status with the front desk and management team.
- Perform basic painting, patching, caulking, furniture repairs, and general handyman tasks.
- Support preventive maintenance programs to help avoid future equipment or room issues.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and according to hotel standards.
- Report any major repairs, safety concerns, or equipment failures to management.
- Assist with emergency maintenance situations when needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in hotel maintenance, building maintenance, or a similar role preferred.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general property maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs efficiently.
- Experience with guest room repairs and hotel operations is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks during the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable property.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with front desk, housekeeping, and management.
- Must be dependable, professional, and able to provide courteous service when interacting with guests.
Pay: $17.00 per hour
