POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dependable and experienced NEMT Driver to join our amazing team in Donaldsonville, Louisiana. The ideal candidate will have proven hands-on experience transporting clients to and from appointments and a strong commitment to safety and on-time performance. This position consists of Monday through Saturday hours and sometimes after hours with incentives based on discharge distance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely operate vehicles transporting non-emergency medical clients
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with state regulations
- Load and unload wheelchair clients, maintain accurate trip logs, and hours-of-service logs.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers for on-time performance
- Report any mechanical issues or vehicle defects promptly
- Keep the vehicle clean at all times
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Chauffer License
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Must be available Monday through Saturday, 4:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 or more years of verifiable NEMT driving experience.
- Familiarity with Donaldsonville and the surrounding Parishes.
- CPR/First Aid, Defensive Driving, & Wheelchair certified
