About the Family: A warm, busy family in Lincoln Park is seeking an experienced, proactive Full-Time Nanny to become a trusted, long-term part of their household. Both parents work full-time, and the family includes a 4-month-old baby, 2.5-year-old toddler, 10-year-old son, and a 13-year-old Boston Terrier.
With the recent addition of two young children, the nanny’s primary focus will be providing attentive, hands-on care for the infant and toddler, with some support for the 10-year-old as needed. The family is looking for someone highly experienced and confident caring for an infant and toddler simultaneously, who understands their different developmental needs and can establish a consistent rhythm and routine while remaining flexible as the children grow and the family’s needs evolve.
Responsibilities:
The nanny will take ownership of the children’s day-to-day needs, including:
- Managing meals, bottles, naps, and daily routines
- Planning age-appropriate activities, outings, and developmental play
- Supporting developmental milestones
- Providing age-appropriate structure, boundaries, and guidance
- Handling children’s laundry and organization
- Keeping bedrooms, play areas, and children’s belongings organized
- Preparing diaper bags, snacks, bottles, and supplies for outings
- Helping with transportation and activities as needed
- Providing support for the 10-year-old when needed
- Maintaining a safe, engaging, loving, and nurturing environment
When the children’s needs are handled and time allows, the family would appreciate someone who naturally pitches in around the household. This may include family laundry, errands, organization, household stocking, packing/unpacking, and other light family-assistant responsibilities. The children will always remain the first priority.
