Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Ministry Musician to lead and inspire our congregation through music and worship. We are seeking a keyboard player and/or guitarist. This paid role is vital in creating an uplifting spiritual environment, fostering community engagement, and enhancing the overall worship experience. The Ministry Musician will collaborate closely with church leadership, musicians, and the congregation to deliver dynamic musical presentations that resonate deeply and encourage spiritual growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead musical worship during weekly services, special events, and community gatherings with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Collaborate with pastors and ministry leaders to plan worship sessions that align with sermon themes and church initiatives
- Rehearse regularly with musicians and praise team to ensure cohesive and polished performances
- Maintain the church’s musical instruments, sound equipment, and related resources to ensure optimal performance quality
- Foster a welcoming environment for new volunteers interested in joining the music ministry
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate schedules, song selections, and technical needs for each service
Requirements
- Proven experience in musical worship within a church or similar setting
- Excellent communication skills for clear coordination with church staff, volunteers, and congregation members
- Ability to mentor others by sharing knowledge, offering constructive feedback, and encouraging spiritual development through music
- Proficiency in playing at least one instrument (e.g., piano, guitar) or vocal performance at a level suitable for leading worship
- A genuine passion for ministry work combined with a positive attitude that inspires others
