Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA): Behavior analysis focuses on the principles that explain how learning takes place. Positive reinforcement is one such principle. When a behavior is followed by some sort of reward, the behavior is more likely to be repeated. Through decades of research, the field of behavior analysis has developed many techniques for increasing useful behaviors and reducing those that may cause harm or interfere with learning.
Description: Learning Solutions is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, energetic individuals to work 1:1 with children diagnosed with autism in person at their school, in their homes, or in our clinic location. We are looking for individuals who are interested in making this opportunity into a career as we encourage advancement within the company.
Status: Part Time or potentially Full Time (30+ hours)
Hours of Operation: Monday- Friday 7:45 am-6:00 pm
Qualifications and Skills:
Physical Requirements: Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, turning, twisting, standing for extended periods, reaching, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Other requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Hold a minimum of High School diploma or equivalent, AA/AS or BA/BS Degree in a related field preferred (Psychology, Child Development, ect.).

Must be willing to travel up to a 30 minute commute

Have valid Drivers License, active auto insurance, and reliable means of transportation.

Individuals must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours a week.

Pass Livescan background check with the DOJ and FBI

Negative TB test within the last 90 days. Current immunization for MMR, Tdap, Varicella, and Hep B.

Pass a physical exam.

Drive time is paid at minimum wage, and mileage reimbursement is at 72.5 cents/per mile after the minimum requirement at the start and end of your day and in between shifts.
