CWIST works in partnership with the Department of Children and Families on child abuse investigation cases received in Miami Dade County. All clinicians review cases and follow up with DCF Child Protective Investigators (CPI) to consult on their investigations in regards to mental health, substance abuse and/or domestic violence concerns. Clinicians complete brief assessments alongside CPI in the field/in-home or the office. Documentation is to be completed within 48 hours. Travel is required. Hybrid positions.
- Intermediate/Advanced computer skills required
- Master Degree in mental health related field or its equivalent
- State for Florida License or State of Florida Intern License in good standing
- At least 1 year of experience with child welfare/dependency population (with DCF involvement specifically preferred)
- At least 1 year of experience with assessing mental health/substance abuse/domestic violence
- Highly organized
- Good time management
- Able to maintain positive, open and collaborative relationship with CPI and peers
- Bilingual (English/Spanish, English/Creole) preferred
- Able to maintain caseload and meet documentation deadlines
- Quick learner and adaptable to change
- Able to work independently
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
