We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. We are a small specialty Electrical Contractor in Kirkland, focusing primarily on public works, pump stations, road work and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public works and industrial construction electrical estimating and project management. This role involves analyzing project specifications, preparing accurate estimates, and collaborating with various vendors to ensure successful project execution.
This role is responsible for preparing comprehensive and accurate cost estimates based on detailed review of blueprints, specifications, and project requirements, utilizing knowledge of electrical construction means and methods. The professional in this role will estimate and support projects ranging between $20K-$3M in value.
· Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects.
· Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam for precise estimating and accurate take-offs.
· Coordinate with suppliers for best pricing and terms.
· Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and ensure adherence to cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
· Prepare detailed proposals that outline project scope, timelines, and costs while ensuring compliance with NEC standards and local codes – including WA State, WSDOT, King County, City of Seattle
· Provide support during the preconstruction process to project manager for a clean handoff of the projects.
Requirements
· Proven experience in electrical construction estimating.
· The ability to get feedback on estimates, track results, and utilize the data to understand market conditions.
· Familiarity with electrical experience and construction site operations is required.
· Knowledge of contracts, pricing strategies, and cost control methodologies relevant to the construction industry.
· Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates and proposals.

The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of industrial electrical estimating experience and experience managing multiple electrical construction projects at different stages and complexity. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the electrical trade and training is strongly preferred.
This is a full-time exempt position; team members have some flexibility with their daily work schedule, based on their needs and the needs of the work.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
