Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Handle chemical agents safely for cleaning and sanitation purposes, following proper chemical handling procedures.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and safety glasses to ensure safety during cleaning activities.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation in food production, manufacturing, or warehouse environments by following industry-specific protocols such as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
- Operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers, scrubbers, and industrial vacuums efficiently and safely.
- Follow strict safety protocols related to chemical handling, respiratory protection, and general workplace safety guidelines.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary to move supplies or equipment safely within the facility.
Requirements
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial cleaning or industrial settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling and sanitation standards required for food safety and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with industrial cleaning duties.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and proper measurement of cleaning agents.
- Familiarity with GMP standards, food safety regulations, and safety protocol adherence is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments such as food processing or warehouse facilities.
