Job Description: Production Operator
Purpose: Responsible for maintaining efficiency and continuing production of the manufacturing equipment and secondary operations.
Job Functions:
- Visually inspect all products for conformance to quality standards when handling.
- Package product in within previously established methods.
- Familiarize themselves with the quality requirements of each job that they are assigned.
- Communicate with the Quality department to minimize any nonconforming product.
- Understand the basic workings and safety features of all equipment and machinery that they are using.
- Maintain cleanliness in their work area.
- Perform any housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Assist in the training of other personnel as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Have basic computer skills.
- Have good manual dexterity.
- Have good eyesight (with corrective lenses is acceptable)
- Must be able to follow instructions, written and verbal.
- Have good supervisory skills.
- Possess basic knowledge of hand tools and their uses.
- Capable of maintaining company attendance requirements
- Possess a minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing environment.
- Capable of training others as needed.
- Must possess a strong commitment to the Company and to the production of quality product.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
Physical demands of job include but are not limited to the following:
- Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move 55lbs
