Labatt Food Service, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas is the tenth largest foodservice distributor in the nation. We operate in a high-intensity, high-transaction logistics enviroment, supplying 14,000 items to food-away-from-home customers in Texas and New Mexico from 5 distribution centers.
The usual schedule is Monday - Friday from 6:00 am - 3:00 pm.
The work environment includes all parts of the warehouse, with the most time spent on our receiving dock (dry non-air conditioned & refrigerated 40F).
Quality Control:
Position attributes would be describe as follows:
- Self motivated, interested in growth
- Good written communication skills
- Computer literate: Microsoft Office
- Detail Oriented
- Must have good interpersonal skills
- Prior experience in food manufacturing/ warehouse is a plus
Duties:
General
- Monitors Food Safety/Quality Systems
Inbound Receiving
- Enforces our inbound receiving guidelines
- Inspects inbound shipments- product condition and trailer condition
- Investigates & documents out of temperature product/trailers
- Documents and Photographs inbound shipment issues- (food safety/ food quality/ damage)
- Conducts random time and temp inspections and logs results
- Inspects and documents HACCP CCP compliance
Returns
- Inspects returned products with quality related concerns (Return QC Task)
