Sales Rep – Custom Trailers | Base + Commission | Bilingual Preferred
Fort Worth, TX
Full-Time | In-Office
$35,000 base + commission + performance incentives
About the Opportunity
Tassei Trailers is a small, growing custom trailer company specializing in food trailers, restroom trailers, mobile offices, and specialty builds.
We are looking for a driven, bilingual Sales Representative who wants more than just a salaried position. This is a commission-focused sales role with significant opportunity to grow your income as you grow your sales.
Because we are a small company, you will not be one salesperson among dozens. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of sales at our Fort Worth location, work directly with customers, and have a noticeable impact on the growth of the business.
This position is best for someone who is self-motivated, competitive, resourceful, and comfortable creating their own momentum.
If you need constant direction or a highly structured corporate environment to stay productive, this likely will not be the right fit. If you like autonomy, talking to customers, following opportunities, closing deals, and seeing your income increase with your performance, there is a lot of opportunity here.
What You'll Be Selling
Our customers range from entrepreneurs starting their first food trailer to established businesses purchasing commercial trailers.
Products include:
- Custom food trailers
- Restroom trailers
- Mobile office trailers
- Specialty and commercial trailer builds
Sales can represent significant purchases, so this is a consultative sales role. Customers often need help determining the right layout, equipment, options, financing, and build for their business.
What You'll Be Responsible For
You will manage the sales process from initial inquiry through closing.
Responsibilities include:
- Responding quickly to inbound leads by phone, text, and email
- Speaking with walk-in customers at our Fort Worth location
- Following up consistently with leads and previous prospects
- Understanding what customers are trying to accomplish and recommending the appropriate trailer
- Preparing and presenting quotes
- Managing your pipeline and keeping CRM records organized
- Following opportunities until they are won, lost, or no longer active
- Proactively reaching out to potential customers rather than relying only on incoming leads
- Learning our trailer models, options, pricing, financing, and production process
- Building relationships with customers and earning their trust
- Regularly create casual, authentic video content featuring yourself, our trailers, and customers for social media
- Be comfortable speaking on camera to showcase trailers, explain features, highlight completed builds, and share customer experiences
The Person We're Looking For
We care less about finding someone with a perfect résumé and more about finding someone with the right sales mentality.
You should be someone who:
- Is fluent in English and Spanish
- Has previous sales experience
- Is comfortable picking up the phone and talking to customers
- Follows up without needing to be reminded
- Is motivated by commissions and performance
- Can manage your own day and priorities
- Takes ownership when something isn't working
- Is organized enough to manage multiple customers and opportunities
- Is comfortable learning technical product information
- Wants the opportunity to grow with a smaller company
- Understands that sales results come from consistent activity and follow-up
- Has an outgoing, personable communication style
- Is willing to regularly appear in social media content as part of the role
- Is comfortable approaching customers about participating in photos, videos, or testimonials
- Can speak naturally about products without needing a heavily scripted presentation
Experience in automotive, equipment, construction, trailers, RVs, commercial products, or similar sales is a plus, but not required.
Compensation
This position is intentionally structured to reward performance.
Base Salary: $35,000
Plus: Commission on sales
Plus: Performance incentives
Commission is an important part of the compensation for this position. We want someone who is motivated by the opportunity to earn more based on what they produce rather than someone looking only for a fixed salary.
As sales volume and performance grow, there is opportunity for higher earnings and increased commission rates.
There is no set cap on how successful the right salesperson can become in this role.
Small Company = Bigger Opportunity
We are not a large corporation with layers of management and narrowly defined responsibilities.
We're a growing small business, which means the right person will have more autonomy, more responsibility, and more opportunity to make an impact.
You may often be the primary person managing the Fort Worth office and its sales activity. We need someone we can trust to stay productive even when nobody is standing over their shoulder.
For the right person, that independence is one of the biggest advantages of the position.
As the company grows, we want this position to grow with it.
Initial Ramp-Up Period
There will be an initial ramp-up period focused on learning our products, sales process, CRM, pricing, and customer base.
We understand that larger trailer sales do not always close immediately. Early success will therefore be evaluated based on:
- Responsiveness to leads
- Number and quality of customer conversations
- Follow-up consistency
- Pipeline activity
- Product knowledge
- Organization
- Initiative
- Progress toward closed sales
Ultimately, this is a performance-driven sales position, and long-term compensation and growth will be tied to sales results.
