Varstaff is looking for an Associate Material Movement
Shift: D Shift (Friday–Sunday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Location: Cape Canaveral, FL – LC36 / Rocket Park (On-site construction environment)
Badge Requirement: This role requires a DBIDS (Defense Biometric Identification System) badge.
Work Environment: Located at an active launch facility construction site with inherent industrial hazards.
As a Fulfillment Specialist, you will manage fulfillment center operations, including shipment receiving, quality control inspections, inventory data entry, and bulk storage assignment at the LC36 launch site. You will operate heavy material handling equipment (PIT/forklifts) to safely transport heavy materials across an active construction site, execute precise kitting and packaging, and apply proactive problem-solving to resolve operational roadblocks.
Unload, visually inspect, and systematically document incoming carrier shipments according to standard operating procedures.
Execute quality control checks and input physical part delivery data into the inventory management system.
Securely package, label, sort, and stage parts, boxes, and crates across the workflow to prevent loss.
Assign storage locations, conduct inventory audits, and derive operational inventory requirements from Bills of Material (BOM).
Safely operate heavy material handling equipment, including electronic pallet jacks (EPJs), forklifts, reach-trucks, and turret-trucks.
Identify operational bottlenecks, support downstream root cause analysis, and strictly adhere to construction site safety protocols and PPE guidelines.
2+ years of Fulfillment Center Operations experience, with specific functions in receiving and inventory management.
Mandatory Requirement: Previous certified forklift experience and proficient skills operating heavy PIT equipment.
Proven ability to interpret and derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material (BOM).
Proficiency in basic mathematical and analytical skills to define problems, collect data, and draw reasonable conclusions.
Strong communication skills and high attention to detail within a technical, fast-paced industrial environment.
Physical capability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs on an active construction site.
