Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Electrical Estimator / Project Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial electrical estimating, project management, and cost control. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate pricing and effective management of project budgets, contributing to the overall success of our construction projects.
This position can be full-time or part-time.
Responsibilities
- Travel for site visits will be required
- Oversee the estimating process for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for effective cost estimation.
- Utilize software tools (your choice) to prepare detailed estimates and manage project costs.
- Conduct thorough reviews of project plans, specifications, and other documentation to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Monitor project budgets throughout the lifecycle of each project, implementing cost control measures as necessary.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings to provide insights on cost implications and feasibility of proposed projects.

Qualifications
- Candidates for this position MUST reside in the state of Iowa or Minnesota to be considered.
- Applicants with a Masters Electrician's license will be given priority
- Proven experience in commercial electrical estimating
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and project management practices.
