Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage inventory levels using advanced warehouse management systems or similar tools.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely sourcing and replenishment of stock based on demand planning and category management strategies.
- Oversee shipping logistics
- Conduct regular cycle counts, audits, and physical inventories to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies for process improvement.
- Collaborate with transportation management systems and scheduling for efficient order fulfillment.
- Ensure regulatory compliance related to transportation safety regulations, customs documentation, packaging standards, and materials handling procedures.
- Lead efforts in process improvement initiatives within warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, and materials management to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage activities with third-party providers to ensure smooth warehouse distribution and customer service excellence.
- Support demand planning activities by analyzing data trends to forecast inventory needs accurately across multiple channels including e-commerce platforms.
- Maintain detailed records of all inventory transactions, shipments, and regulatory documentation to facilitate audits and reporting.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain management principles including procurement, sourcing, demand planning, and category management.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems, software, and Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations including picking & packing, shipping logistics, materials handling, and dispatching procedures.
- Experience with transportation planning tools such as TMS for freight optimization and fleet management.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs procedures, NVOCC operations, and regulatory compliance standards related to logistics.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets using supply chain analytics techniques to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Excellent team management skills with experience overseeing warehouse staff involved in order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and safety compliance.
- Knowledge of transportation safety regulations along with a focus on operational safety standards in road transportation operations.
- Technical proficiency in management systems or similar platforms.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively across departments and external partners.
