Trades Apprentice / General Laborer - Paid Training
Buckhorn Ridge llc
Part-Time | Flexible Hours | Hands-On Training
Want to learn a trade, but not sure where to start?
Buckhorn Ridge is looking for a motivated person who wants to learn practical, hands-on skills while getting paid. You do not need years of construction experience. You do not need to already know how to weld, wire, build, or repair things. We are looking for someone who is dependable, willing to work, curious about how things work, and interested in learning from experienced people. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience across several different trades instead of being limited to doing the same task every day.
What You'll Have the Opportunity to Learn !
Depending on the projects we're working on, you may gain hands-on experience with:
- Carpentry and general construction
- Construction Safety (OSHA 10)
- Masonry & concrete work
- Basic plumbing
- Mechanical assembly and repairs
- Steel & aluminum welding (Stick & MIG)
- Residential electrical & plumbing work
- Vehicle electrical & mechanical work
- Heavy Equipment & tool operation
- Jobsite planning & problem solving
- Project organization
- Basic business and management skills
You won't be expected to know all of this when you start. The point of the position is to learn. As your skills and confidence grow, you'll have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and learn more advanced work.
Who We're Looking For
Experience is great, but attitude matters more to us.
You could be a good fit if you:
- Show up when you say you will
- Are willing to learn and ask questions
- Enjoy working with your hands
- Like figuring out how things work
- Take pride in doing a job properly
- Can follow instructions and work safely
- Are comfortable working both independently and with others
- Want to develop skills that will be useful for the rest of your life
You may be a high school or college student, someone considering a career in the trades, or simply someone who wants practical experience before deciding which path to pursue.
Schedule
This is a part-time position with flexible hours. We understand that the right candidate may be balancing school, another job, sports, or other commitments. We are willing to work with the right person to build a schedule that makes sense. There may also be opportunities for additional hours depending on workload, availability, and performance.
More Than Just a Labor Job
Our goal isn't to hire someone just to carry materials and clean jobsites. We want to find someone who is interested in learning why and how the work gets done. For the right person, that can eventually include learning how jobs are planned, how problems are solved, how projects are managed, and what goes into running a successful business. If you're someone who wants to develop real skills, work with your hands, and learn from people who are willing to teach you, we'd like to hear from you.
