What You Will Do - Tower Technician
The majority of your role will be on site in the field climbing cell towers on construction sites. You will:
- Climb cell towers (up to 300 feet!)
- Assist with the installation of required tower equipment, including but not limited to: masts, mounts, clamping, bracing, supports, antennas, remote radio units, cabling, and bolting
- Read and interpret construction blueprints, construction diagrams, manufacturer specifications, and related construction documents to ensure proper installation of antenna systems
- Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment to and from cell tower job sites
- Complete required documentation related to job site work on cell towers
- Maintain a culture of safety at all times
Tower Technician - The Must Haves
You might have very little construction experience, or be an experienced Tower Foreman. You must:
- Have a clean driving record (you may be driving a company vehicle)
- Be able to physically climb cell towers, and lift up 75 lbs. and meet the physical requirements
- Integrity – you do the right thing, and do what you say, when you say you will
- Teamwork – You help out the rest of the team
- Reliable - show up on time, ready to work
Tower Technician – Your Travel Opportunity
You will be on the road where no two days are the same! You will travel up to 75% to construction sites, including weekends and extended travel, both local and statewide. Our general territory includes both California and Oregon, so the views are beautiful!
Tower Technician – You Might Have
- Tower/Rescue Certificate
- First Aid/CPR certification
- RF Awareness Certificate
- Rigging/Signal Person Certificate
- Licensing for Special equipment (aerial lift, forklift, Backhoe, capstan)
- GHS (formally MSDS)
- Lock out Tag out
