The Local CDL Driver & Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely transporting products between local vendors, warehouses, and Rogue Creamery facilities while supporting plant operations through preventive and corrective maintenance activities. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the flow of product, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting production goals through timely response to maintenance needs.

Operate single and tandem axle tractors pulling trailers up to 53 feet, straight trucks, tankers, lift trucks, and pallet jacks.

Transport perishable products between Rogue Creamery facilities, suppliers, and local partners.

Load and unload products safely while verifying order accuracy.

Provide excellent customer service during delivery and pickup operations.

Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and required operator maintenance.

Complete all DOT-required documentation, including driver logs and inspection reports.

Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations and company transportation policies.

Report vehicle and equipment issues to the Logistics Supervisor.

Maintain cleanliness and safe operating condition of all vehicles and transportation equipment.

Ensure vehicle registrations, permits, and inspections remain current.

Maintain and repair production, packaging, and material handling equipment.

Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance activities.

Complete maintenance work orders accurately and in a timely manner.

Respond to equipment breakdowns and production trouble calls.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues and restore equipment to service safely and efficiently.

Assist with facility improvements, equipment installations, and ongoing projects.

Support continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

Follow all company safety policies, GMPs, food safety requirements, and OSHA regulations.

Maintain required certifications and training.

Assist warehouse and production teams as needed.

Maintain regular, predictable attendance.

Promote teamwork and collaboration across departments.

High school diploma or GED.

Valid CDL Class A license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to maintain DOT medical certification and meet all DOT requirements.

Mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or related environment.

Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment.
