Highway Maintenance Worker / Road Laborer
Ocala, FL | $16-$17/hour + Full Benefits

Join our Highway Maintenance Team and play a key role in keeping Ocala area roadways safe, clean, and well‑maintained. If you enjoy physical work, being outside, and working with a solid crew - this could be the perfect fit.
Our crews work on roadways in Marion and Sumter Counties handling a wide variety of roadway maintenance tasks.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Trimming and cutting trees and vegetation
- Weed eating, blowing, and general groundskeeping
- Repairing fences and guardrails
- Grinding sidewalks and pressure washing
- Installing and replacing roadway signs
- Filling potholes and repairing slopes and ditches
- Litter and debris clean-up
- Setting up safe lane closures using cones and traffic control devices
- May apply/spray herbicides and mix chemicals for vegetation control
Schedule
- Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Overtime as needed
- On‑call rotation for emergency after‑hours work with a take‑home truck and paid overtime when responding
What We’re Looking For
- 23+ years old (due to insurance policy coverage requirements)
- Valid United States Driver’s License with a clean MVR.
- Ability to pass required background, MVR, and drug & alcohol screenings.
