We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with sedation experience to assist with in-office procedures in a dynamic and patient-focused environment.
Position Summary:
The Sedation RN will provide nursing care and monitor patients undergoing conscious or moderate sedation during interventional pain procedures such as epidural steroid injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablations, and spinal cord stimulator trials.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor moderate sedation under physician direction during procedures
- Perform pre-op assessments and ensure informed consent is obtained
- Monitor patient vitals (EKG, BP, pulse oximetry) throughout the procedure
- Provide post-procedure recovery care and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with providers and medical assistants to ensure smooth clinical flow
- Assist with emergency response protocols when needed
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state of Arizona (required)
- Minimum 1 years of procedural or sedation experience (preferred: pain management, GI, cath lab, or surgery center)
- BLS and ACLS certification (required)
- Excellent communication, organization, and clinical skills
- Calm under pressure with strong patient safety awareness
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time: 2–3 weekdays per week (flexible scheduling)
- No weekends or on-call required
- Hourly pay: $40-45/hr (based on experience and employment type)
