Safety Fleet Manager
Location: New Cumberland, PA (On-Site)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Fleet Manager to oversee and continuously improve our safety and compliance programs for our local and over-the-road trucking operations. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable FMCSA, DOT, and OSHA regulations while fostering a strong culture of safety throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate has experience in the trucking industry, a strong background in transportation safety and regulatory compliance, and a passion for helping drivers and the company operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit and monitor our Motive ELD system to ensure Hours of Service (HOS) compliance.
- Review and audit driver paper logs, Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs), and related documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain company safety policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and workplace safety requirements.
- Assign and manage driver training through the company's online learning management system (LMS).
- Monitor and improve the company's FMCSA Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA)
scores.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable FMCSA, DOT, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Lead accident and incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
- Identify operational risks and implement strategies to reduce accidents, claims, and regulatory violations.
- Knowledge of the company's Drug and Alcohol Testing Program, ensuring compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate regular driver safety meetings and safety initiatives.
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
- Collaborate with operations, dispatch, maintenance, and leadership to promote safe operating practices and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in the trucking or transportation industry is required.
- Strong background in fleet safety, transportation compliance, or safety management.
- Working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs), preferably Motive.
- Knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS), DVIRS, driver qualification files, and transportation compliance requirements.
- Experience managing accident investigations, incident reporting, and corrective action plans.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop, implement, and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation or fleet management software.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred but not required.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
