About XLR8 Hormone Health & Wellness
XLR8 Hormone Health & Wellness is Texas-based telemedicine practice preparing to launch with a mission to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care focused on optimizing health and wellness. Initial services will include hormone replacement therapy (HRT), medical weight management, and peptide therapies where clinically appropriate and legally permissible.
Over the next year, XLR8 plans to expand into a physical clinic offering additional services such as therapeutic phlebotomy, laboratory services, and IV hydration therapy.
The practice will be operated by an experienced Nurse Practitioner within a Management Services Organization (MSO) structure. We are seeking a Texas-licensed physician to serve as Medical Director and collaborating/delegating physician, providing clinical leadership and oversight in accordance with applicable Texas law.
Position Summary
The Medical Director will provide physician collaboration, delegation, and clinical oversight for a single Nurse Practitioner-operated practice. The physician will help establish and maintain high clinical standards, support evidence-based protocols, participate in quality assurance activities, and ensure compliance with applicable federal and Texas laws governing medical practice and telemedicine.
This is an independent contractor (1099) position with no capital investment requirement.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Medical Director and collaborating/delegating physician for the practice.
- Maintain all required delegation and prescriptive authority agreements in accordance with Texas law.
- Be available for physician consultation regarding patient care and complex clinical cases.
- Participate in required chart reviews, quality assurance, and peer review activities.
- Collaborate on the development and periodic review of clinical protocols for hormone optimization, medical weight management, wellness services, and other approved treatments.
- Support safe prescribing practices and adherence to current clinical guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with telemedicine regulations, documentation standards, and patient safety requirements.
- Promote continuous quality improvement and evidence-based care while exercising independent medical judgment.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Texas medical license.
- DEA registration.
- Experience in primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, endocrinology, obesity medicine, men's health, women's health, or wellness medicine is preferred.
- Familiarity with telemedicine and advanced practice provider collaboration.
- Commitment to patient safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality clinical care.
Compensation
- Independent contractor (1099)
- $500-$600 per month
