The Database Consultant provides technical support and consulting services for database systems, applications, and information technology used by CTAS and Tennessee county governments. This position is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing database- and web-based applications that support county operations statewide.
In this role, the consultant partners with CTAS staff and county officials to develop data tools, reports, and systems that improve access to information and support decision-making. The position also supports the maintenance of servers, networks, and related technologies to ensure stable, reliable system performance.
Required Qualifications
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Experience :
- 5 years of experience in database management, application development, or related work.
- Experience designing, developing, and supporting database or web-based applications.
- Experience working with data systems, reporting tools, or enterprise applications.
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong knowledge of relational database design and data management.
Experience with tools such as SQL Server, Access, and Excel.
Experience with technologies such as .NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Ability to analyze data and build tools that support reporting and operations.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
Ability to manage multiple systems and priorities.
