We are seeking a Generator Repair Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Generac home standby generators while delivering a high level of customer service.
The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, and takes pride in providing a positive customer experience. Candidates with generator, small engine, or automotive repair experience are highly encouraged to apply. Leadership or management experience is a plus.

Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on Generac home standby generators

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and service appointments

Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot and resolve issues

Provide exceptional customer service during all homeowner interactions

Communicate with customers before and after completing assigned work

Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient job completion

Maintain proper care and accountability of assigned tools, equipment, and company vehicle

Complete warranty claims for applicable service work

Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours service requests

Perform final walkthroughs and collect installation payments as scheduled

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of generator, small engine, or related mechanical experience (preferred)

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use tools and diagnostic equipment

Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
-
Experience with Generac generator repair and maintenance (preferred)

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Must be at least 21 years of age

Ability to pass a background check

Sales or management experience is a plus

Generac Air-Cooled and Liquid-Cooled certifications are beneficial but not required

Comprehensive onboarding including safety orientation, hands-on training, and digital workflow systems

Ability to lift 50–60 lbs.
