Job Summary
We are seeking a Metal Fabricator Apprentice to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn metal fabrication processes and techniques. This role involves operating machinery, welding parts, and assembling metal components to create high-quality products. The Metal Fabricator Apprentice will work closely with other team members to ensure that all projects meet industry standards and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate various fabrication equipment including welding equipment, plasma cutting machines, forklifts, and aerial lifts.
- Perform machining tasks to shape and finish metal components accurately.
- Assemble metal parts using various techniques including tig welding.
- Adhere to industry codes and standards throughout the fabrication process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes.
Experience
- Experience in metal fabrication or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Strong skills in basic math and measuring relevant to metal fabrication.
- Minimal skills in blueprint reading and understanding of codes and standards relevant to metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of basic welding processes is a plus.
