Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting and bookkeeping functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial records, support budgeting and reporting processes, and facilitate smooth financial operations across various departments. Responsibilities
- Perform daily data entry, accounts payable and receivable management, and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy in financial records
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Utilize QuickBooks, ADP, and AME to process transactions and generate reports
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes by verifying account balances and preparing financial statements
- Handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and internal audit requirements
- Assist with payroll management using systems like ADP and AME, ensuring timely processing of employee payments and tax filings
- Conduct account analysis, account reconciliation, and review of journal entries to uphold data integrity and accuracy
Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Experience with entering and processing payroll
- Fluency in Korean required
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms
- Experience with financial software integrations like Workday or UltiPro is highly desirable
- Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices is a plus
- Excellent Excel data analysis skills for creating detailed spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Strong numeracy skills combined with analytical thinking for account analysis and budget management
- Effective communication skills for customer service interactions related to accounts receivable/payable inquiries
