Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems across diverse projects. Responsibilities
- Install new roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment with precision and safety in mind
- Repair and replace damaged or aging roofs to extend their lifespan and improve performance
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Conduct thorough inspections of roofing structures to identify issues early and recommend solutions
- Coordinate with project managers, carpenters, masons, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution
- Apply waterproofing, caulking, and sealant techniques to prevent leaks and water damage
- Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as lifting materials or preparing the site for roofing work
- Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed for each job
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience in roofing installation, repair, or related construction fields with site experience preferred
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to roofing projects
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of construction management practices including safety standards and quality control processes
- Familiarity with related trades such as carpentry, masonry, plastering, glazing (glass installation), caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, flooring installation, tile laying, concrete finishing, welding, restoration work, hardscape installation, cabinet installation, door hanging, painting techniques, fabrication processes—especially those relevant to roofing projects
- Ability to work at heights safely while maintaining focus on detail-oriented tasks
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and reading technical schematics accurately
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions
