JOB Performs entry-level professional work supporting real estate and right-of-way activities, including property acquisition, appraisal review, negotiation, relocation assistance, and property management. Reviews and interprets right-of-way plans, appraisals, title and environmental reports, and communicates findings clearly to property owners and stakeholders. Coordinates with attorneys, internal staff, and external partners to facilitate project activities and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Prepares required documentation and maintains accurate records using standard computer applications. Works with general independence while receiving guidance on more complex assignments.
May negotiate uncomplicated acquisitions and excess land sales, and work with senior negotiators with leases and more complicated acquisitions. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Examples of Work PerformedHandles less complicated negotiations including minor part takes, sale of right-of-way, and fee acquisitions.
Meets with the property owners, clients, petitioners or neighborhood groups on site or other locations to discuss MSD projects (may require evening and weekend appointments). Handles less complicated street vacations, excess property sales and work with senior negotiators on leases and more complicated acquisitions. Prepares and files Hamilton County property tax exemption applications and Hamilton County Board of revision applications.
Closes purchase contracts for MSD projects. Drafts various documents for review and approval by attorneys in the Law Department.
