Summary:
The Laundry Mechanic will work under limited supervision and perform work of considerable difficulty in the repair and maintenance of industrial washers, dryers, and other equipment. They will diagnose, rebuild, repair equipment, perform inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment. They will also prepare and maintain records and reports.
Responsibilities:
Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of related Laundry or Engineering experience required.
- Experience in electrical maintenance and mechanical repairs.
- Experience with a variety of hand and power tools.
- Experience with multimeter operation and the ability to utilize this to troubleshoot equipment and interpret readings to identify deficiencies
- Ability to read, interpret, and navigate complex electrical schematics
- Ability to read and utilize vendor-provided manuals
- Ability to articulate issues and coherently communicate with vendor technical support teams as required in the troubleshooting process
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
- Experience with system boilers and steam-related components
- Ability to work in conditions that may include exposure to wet, hot, and physically demanding environments.
- Experience working with automated systems and fine-tuning them for optimal efficiency.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices.
- Effective communication skills to work with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently and 100 lbs. infrequently.
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
- Must be willing to work from 10am-6pm.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification in electrical or mechanical maintenance is preferred.
- Relevant training or certification in OSHA safety standards.
- Additional licenses or certifications related to laundry equipment maintenance are a plus.
