The Industrial Saw Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining industrial sawing equipment to cut materials accurately and efficiently in accordance with engineering specifications, production requirements, and safety standards. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring precision, consistency, and quality throughout the cutting process while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
This position is designed for a dependable and detail‑oriented manufacturing professional who can work independently, follow technical documentation, and comply with established safety and quality procedures. The Industrial Saw Operator plays an important role in supporting production flow and upholding Universal Fabricating’s commitment to operational excellence and high‑quality manufacturing.

Operate and adjust industrial saws, including bandsaws, circular saws, and miter saws to cut materials such as metal, wood, and plastic.

Set up saws, including adjusting blade speed, alignment, and other settings to match material specifications.

Monitor the cutting process to ensure precision and consistency in cut dimensions.

Load and unload materials onto and from the saws, ensuring proper handling and positions.

Measure and mark materials to ensure accurate cuts according to blueprints or work orders.

Inspect finished cuts for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.

Perform routine checks and maintenance in saw blades and machinery to ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues or mechanical problems with the saws.

Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work enviroment.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies regarding machine operation and material handling.

Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities, material type, and any issues encountered.

Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED is preferred.
