We are seeking an experienced Server at Margaritaville (Restaurant) located in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. A Server is responsible for taking food and beverage orders from guests and recording orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the point-of-sale system (register). Ensuring delivery food and beverages to guests promptly, accurately, and with a smile. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to a lively, welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, guest relations, and hospitality operations while working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Take food/beverage orders from guests
- Follow steps of service and always remain guest focused
- Communicate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely service
- Deliver freshly prepared dishes/drinks from the kitchen/bar to tables efficiently, maintaining food quality and presentation standards
- Bus tables, clear dishes, and reset tables, when necessary
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, addressing their needs promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience
- Support banquet or large event service by managing multiple tables efficiently and professionally.
Requirements and skills
- Applicants MUST be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Previous experience in the USVI/Caribbean preferred
