Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot various mechanical issues. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet, contributing to efficient operations.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including brake repair, tire service, and shocks struts replacement.
- Utilize power tools and diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical problems and execute effective solutions.
- Conduct inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
- Operate forklifts and cranes as necessary during repair processes.
- Collaborate with other service technicians to enhance workflow efficiency and maintain high-quality service standards.
- Assist in training junior mechanics or apprentices as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Familiarity with diesel engine systems, components, and repair techniques.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in maintaining equipment functionality.
