We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Live-In House Manager to oversee the daily operations of a private residence, ensuring a safe, organized, and nurturing environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise household staff and coordinate daily activities to ensure smooth operations of the residence
- Provide compassionate childcare and behavioral health support tailored to residents’ needs
- Implement security protocols to safeguard residents and property, including manual handling and crisis intervention when necessary
- Manage resident intake processes, maintain confidentiality, and document case management activities using Microsoft Office tools
- Assist with medication administration, first aid, CPR, and de-escalation techniques to respond effectively to emergencies
- Support residents through addiction counseling, social work interventions, and conflict management strategies
- Facilitate communication between residents, families, healthcare providers, and community agencies to promote holistic care
- Conduct regular safety checks, enforce behavioral management plans, and ensure compliance with home & community care standards
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in residential or community settings
- Strong background in childcare, social work, behavioral health or related fields
- Knowledge of security procedures, crisis intervention techniques, and de-escalation methods
- Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or from underserved communities
- Familiarity with working with youth and high-risk populations with mental health or substance use disorders
- Ability to handle manual tasks safely; certified in first aid and CPR required
- Excellent communication skills—written and verbal—and ability to manage sensitive information discreetly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data collection, filing, reporting and documentation purposes
- Experience working within LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit) programs or similar housing initiatives is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and families
