Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Residential Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in residential settings. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality electrical work that meets all safety standards and building codes. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and panels in residential properties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical plans
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical installations and repairs
- Conduct troubleshooting with testing devices such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify electrical issues
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local safety regulations
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople on construction sites, including frame carpentry and handyman tasks as needed
- Perform low voltage wiring for systems such as security alarms or home automation systems
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to plan electrical layouts for renovation or new construction projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Valid proven residential electrical experience
- Hands-on experience with spec home electrician tasks preferred
- Familiarity with customer facing
- Experience working on construction sites, including renovation projects and new builds
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and low voltage wiring techniques
- Skilled in using various hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing devices
- Knowledge of NEC standards, safety procedures, and low voltage systems management
- Ability to perform frame carpentry or handyman tasks is advantageous
- Strong understanding of electrical code compliance and safety regulations across different project types
